If you’re not getting the results you desire…..in life, business, health, body…..it’s because you have NOT committed to those results.
Now, does everyone move at the same pace?
Different people need different strategies. Sure, some people can go cold-turkey with habits or whatever is blocking them.
Others will need strategies to build upon..moving forward little by little.
The key is moving forward.
There has to be some level of commitment to do that.
Also…..the outcome has to be of greater significance
than whatever is blocking you from the results.
For instance, I’m afraid to fly. Yep.
When I think about it, I don’t want to leave my kids and my husband….what if I never return? What if I am so selfish in going to this training or that conference and then something happens to me?
It’s a really big block for me!
In 2012, I got the guts to book a training seminar in California. I really, really wanted to meet the coaches leading the event, and even more, I wanted to KNOW what they knew so that I could be of better service to my clients.
I. Was. Terrified.
I’ll admit, I ordered cocktails and renewed my Xanax prescription for that trip. My “want” was greater than my fear. And here’s that “doing it anyway” thing coming up that I talked about last week. I got my mind so strong that, despite my fear, I was going to do it anyway.
My WHY was greater than anything blocking me.
This experience is relevant for you, too.
Think of a time you were afraid of something or felt blocked from doing something, but the outcome was more important than the block.
It could seriously be simple as wanting a pair of great shoes. Maybe you couldn’t afford them. Then you bought them anyway because your WHY was greater than the fear of not having enough money to cover them.
When you’re changing habits whether it be from business to your body, you’ve got to tap into that feeling.
Know what it is you want with all your being.
Research the steps necessary to get you there.
Then move forward.
We can have breakdowns or we can have breakthroughs.
Which direction are you headed?
The more often you bust through your Fear Barrier, it
becomes less of a block.
Practice, fail, practice, fail, breakthrough…..rinse and repeat.
I fly about 1x per year now for conferences and trainings. I still get butterflies and fearful thoughts before I leave. But the more I expose myself to it, the less hold it has on me.
Every milestone counts.
You’re worth it, and you deserve to move forward.
