Well, I want you to know that it’s very humbling to share this part of my life story with you. Except that … this part of my life is why I’m sitting here writing to you in the first place.
These are things I’m not proud of.
But they make up my “why” of being here.
And, as many of you know, I’m all about being a “real person” and I don’t like to hide.
This part consumed about a year of my 40 years on this earth (although the effects were more like 3 years and even still, are not erased.)
Yet, it now defines and will define the remainder of my life.
A few weeks ago, I was interviewed by Dr. Jennelle, relationship psychologist and producer of The Big Change of Heart podcast on iTunes (or click here for the website link)
We talked about my marriage, the loss of my true self & purpose in life, my actions because of that loss, and what it means to me now that I’m on the other side of that part of my life.
Opening up was not easy, but I felt it to be necessary as I begin speaking to others about getting back to their true selves and what can happen (esp in our relationships) when we deny and get too far away from that truth.
Listening to the show (it was released yesterday, you can listen to it (here on iTunes or here on the website), I couldn’t help but think, “but what about my husband’s side? What would he have to say here? This profoundly affected his life, too. Why does my side matter?”
Then I remembered, there *are* women right now who are experiencing exactly what I went through.
Some have reached out to me personally because of my journey.
I remember what it felt like to be running 1000% miles an hour away from my life.
If I can help even one of those women understand what is happening at the core, I will have used my experience for good in this life.
It doesn’t matter what issues come up for you in life:
Food Addictions (sugar, carbs, comfort foods, etc)
Yelling at your kids (ok, sometimes that one is legit! lol)
and many more . . . .
Many times (not all, but MANY times) this stuff stems from a loss of our True Self and our True Purpose.
There are days you’re pretty sure “being here” might be an accident right?
I’ve been there.
There are days you feel like you have no real purpose for being on this earth other than to Eat, Work, Sleep and Repeat right?
Over and over and over again.
What’s the point?
I’ve spent A LOT of time walking and contemplating that question over the last 6 years.
Now, I can say: YOU DO HAVE A PURPOSE HERE.
Even if you can’t feel it now. Even if you’re 65 years old, and you think your life has past.
You still have a purpose here.
Knowing that and rediscovering that can make all the difference in your world experience from here on out.
As you can tell, I’ll be talking about THIS subject much more in the future.
For today, I just wanted you to hear the interview I did with Dr. Jennelle.
You can listen to it >> here on iTunes <<
